Kool and the Gang: did they drink Kool Aid?

Here we go again!

Here is the link to the list I am using:

en.wikipedia.org/…

Kool & the Gang, at number 82:

Watcha gonna do?

You gonna get down?

Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, at number 56:

The lesson we all learned from this, is that classical music does, indeed, have hooks.

The J. Geils Band, at number 49:

That song has a hook, for real!

The Alan Parsons Project, at number 32:

Oh, yes! It has been so long since the last time I heard that one. Great hook, great lyrics, about understanding others, reading the room.

George Benson, at number 27:

Wow, that was hard to stop playing that song, to get on with writing this Daily Kos diary. That one is smooth jazz, with a Motown feel. Smooth.

Toto, at number 14:

Such a powerful song, and the bold, strong dancer, with powerful dance moves, that is great.

But, if any of you find the video somewhat creepy, in light of the rape trial in the news, and the Daily Kos diaries on the topic of men abusing women, I am with you. I almost left this song out, because of that, but musically, it is so powerful. And the dancer seems so strong. We must recognize strong women, and show them, and all women, and everyone, proper respect.

John Cougar, at number 7:

Basic philosophy, about teenage life, and what comes after. Life goes on, after the thrills of youth are gone. So find other things, to avoid depression. That is what I am doing now, at the age of 67, finding other things, now that my first wife, Pam, is gone, and my second wife, Tonia, also gone. I eat tasty foods, and share great music, with you! (And take a walk outside, and do yard work, as well.)

Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder, at number 4:

Live at the White House!

2010, during the Obama years.

Okay, I am stopping here.

Your turn.

Hugs!
