Ukrainian support is as widespread as it is enduring.
In an Ukraine Calling interview with Andriy Kulykov, Daniel Bilak, a Canadian born Ukrainian fighting for the last year in Ukraine’s Territorial Defense forces, talks about his service, thoughts on a full-scale Russian invasion, and Canada’s role in supporting Ukraine and joining NATO.
“89% of Ukrainians are prepared to fight to the very end, even if putin uses nuclear weapons. So when I hear in the west, ‘The suffering, we have to stop it’ I dunno who they are talking to because we’re prepared to keep going.”
After being there for over three decades as a multi-lingual lawyer, administrator and facilitator, until last year never a soldier (like many assisting Ukraine), Bilak outlines how and why ptuin’s team genocide will never win.
“In a very real sense, this is Total Resistance. Everybody in this country, and beyond its borders, are involved in this war. You are either on the front, or working for the front.”
The bottom line of his experience is that regardless of all the manufactured noise we hear to the contrary, Ukrainians from across the country are micromillimetres away from an absolute consensus on three points:
One, that they are not russian. Two, that they will never become russian. And three, because the russians know they are not russian and refuse to ever become russian, they are attempting to erase Ukrainians completely in an ongoing attempted genocide. Ukrainians’ justified certianty in the knowledge that they are fighting just to be allowed to be has united them across the entire nation in a way that is going to continue to express itself just as fiercely as anyone would expect; knowing that fact the russians should go home.
“And this is why there is no question in my mind that Ukraine will win this war; I mean, we have to win, we are facing a war of extermination, we understand what is at stake.”
