I’m just speculating here, but is it possible the reason Tucker Carlson was fired was because ultimately Trump wanted him fired? Think about it. Of the three major Fox hosts - Hannity, Ingram and Carlson in the Dominion filings - it was only Carlson who went off the deep end of stating how much he “passionately” hates Trump, and how he yearns for the day that Trump is “gone” and he is no longer someone that FOX has to concern themselves about. The other two certainly disbelieved Trump's election lies, and were adamant about the lack of evidence, and the incompetence of Trump’s lawyers and proponents. But … only Carlson took the further step in denouncing all things Trump. If anyone sounded like a “never-Trumper” he did.

And the way it was done was classic Trump. If Trump has really been dissed by someone and he wants to get rid of the person - what is his M.O.? He loves to see them grovel and kiss his ass first. Cases in point: Mitt Romney, Chris Christie amongst others. So Trump going on Tucker’s show may have just really been Trump having one more opportunity to have Tucker’s nose shoved in it in an obvious and public way.

His reaction to the news was “shock and surprise.” Isn't’ that his normal go-to when he knows all along the person is to be, or was, fired at his bidding? And he speculates that maybe it was because Tucker wanted more “free rein” to say what he really believed - but really … if any FOX host has been seen as having free-rein and going off the deep end with their audacity, and stretching the very principle of veracity to it’s ultimate limit - was it not Carlson?

Finally, the real conundrum in figuring out the truth behind the ousting of Carlson has been that it makes no business sense whatsoever. For a number of years now he has been the top-rated cable-news show host. He is reported to have a loyal following who will stick with him no matter where he ends up. In spite of the recent lawsuits (and I am not discounting those), he has been their consistent top revenue earner. But, again, see things from Trump’s perspective: if he feels personally disrespected - does he care one lick about how much business sense it makes to fire the “disrespecter”? He cares not one bit: especially if that business is not his own. I’ll put it more bluntly - he could give a rat’s ass.

Again, I am just speculating here - but it sure looks to me that the real “decider” behind the shit-canning of Tucker Carlson may have been the great orange one himself.
