Increasingly, seldom bathed in sunlight and radiance
Or paved with luminous celestial stars of glory
Nor washed clean by purifying, pristine, perfumed flood waters
Sadly, too often shrunken, and submerged in dank, fetid cesspools.

In rotting disrepute, disrepair and despair
More frequently, lacking protective barriers or guard rails
Encroached on, and colonized, by serpents, scorpions, and dragons
It sinks under the weight of sickening, lethal, official bribery, corruption and injustices.

All warning signs dismantled, ignored or mocked
Scene of unending pileups, collisions and tragedies
Strewn with countless diminished, bloodied, and lifeless innocent victims
Laden with broken-down, burnt-out, gutted locomotives, in search of justice.

More often than not, dangerous, booby-trapped and teacherous
Littered with toxic debris and noisesome clutter
Patrolled by deadly drones, balloons and UFO's of human, mad-genius origins
Resulting in absurd, bizarre, travesties of justice outcomes.

Bears no resemblance to the indelible, iconic words of the prophet Amos
"But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an everflowing stream,"
Or the fearless deeds of slave-emancipator, Lord Mansfield
In letting " justice be done though the heavens fall."

Divinely ordained to be accessible, toll-free and welcoming to all
A brightly-lit, safe, and secure thoroughfare
Devoid of underworld or netherworld features
A road that rises to every occasion with excellence and in good faith
Ablaze with eternal, burning lamps.
