My Easter basket
My daughter is going to be 39 this year. It hardly seems possible of course. She is my rock and I love her dearly.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

This is the first year in her life that I did not make an Easter basket for her. I have a permanent basket that I made for her when she was very young and a few years ago, she told me she always felt the rabbits on the fabric were kind of creepy. I had no idea all those years but she said she would not have let it to for love nor money so I continue to use it, but not this year.
She, on the other hand, went all out as you can see. The basket itself is gorgeous but I am giving it back to her. I have no place for it and she loves it so there you are. It was over stuffed with goodies of all kinds that I have put away in the pantry now to try nibble at with a calm appreciation instead of eating too much, too fast.
I have not felt in the best of form for a few days, maybe even a couple of weeks. I am just very dull and tired, sleeping worse than usual, not hungry. It will pass. So, like the Dude, I abide.
