Follow me deep down into the rabbit hole

Although the rules of the road actually forbid the promotion of conspiracy theories, I hope I am allowed to report what I discovered on one of my excursions into the shallows of the Internet. So view this rather like a researcher sticking his arm deep into a pile of elephant dung to examine a bug previously unknown to science.

No, this is not about Alvin Bragg allegedly being backed by George Soros, which is not a CT, but the usual reflexive right-wing whining prescribed by the playbook of the great master of deception and distraction — ironically a Jew himself — who managed to harness the Jewish World Conspiracy theory for the Republican mainstream by putting a face to it.

It’s something much more sophisticated and perfidious, so only “the Libruls” can come up with such a heinous plot.

And the story goes like this:

Democrats are terrified to see Joe Biden run again in 2024 because they know that he won’t stand a chance against any random republican candidate, who appears even halfway normal. So their only chance is to throw the nomination to the sole person in the world who would manage to lose against Uncle Joe (again) and his name is Donald J. Trump. But a lot of mainstream republican voters are appalled by the thought, that the Don might again be their candidate and could vote for someone else in the primaries only to eventually get rid of their orange tormentor. So a reason has to be found for the deserters to circle the waggons and rally around one of their own who is being gravely and unfairly wronged. If he will be convicted, a vote for him in the primaries could be too embarrassing for a huge part of the republican electorate. But if he is acquitted, then there is no reason to not vote for him again, because after all, he has then proven that the whole thing was really just a witch hunt, as he has always claimed. So if he’s acquitted, he wins the nomination again.

And this is where Alvin Bragg comes into play.

Bragg’s job now is to create the illusion, that he’s in for the kill. But the jury has to get the impression, that it’s not about the alleged crimes, but the political benefits a conviction could generate for Bragg and they have to be brought to view Bragg similar to Rufus Buckley in the movie “A time to kill”. Having to lose his case is a big sacrifice that Bragg has to make, especially because it has to look as if his case was weak and ill prepared, but in return he was promised some unspecified post in a future Biden administration.

At this point it gets a little confusing, because it’s not clear if this is a good thing or a bad thing for the MAGA’s. One half cautions against being set up, while the other part welcomes this as a rematch of 2020 and the ushering in of the new age of Trumpism.

I won’t post a link because if you are brave enough you can easily find the sources by yourself. But I don’t recommend it. You really have to wade through miles and miles of crude stupidity and plain nonsense and in the end you will have to take a shower only to feel human again.

Let me apologize for having to leave now without replying to your comments, but now I have to take a shower myself and then go to sleep (different time zone) and hopefully not having to dream about orange rabbits chasing me through their underworld maze until I wake up.
