The baby seal is trying to climb up to a dry spot.
It splashes its tail to get some momentum.
Uh, oh. Look what’s coming up behind it.
It’s like being in a whirly bath.
Getting thrown around by the waves isn’t fun.
As the waves recede, the seal gets a chance to get up higher on the rock.
Whew. Up where I can dry away from the waves for a bit.
Ms. JG and I felt ourselves cheering this little guy on while it made its valiant attempt to fight the waves.
A Friday Sequence Bucket can be very simple. Please let Appy or me know if you’d like to join in.
Next Friday you’ll have a real treat with Appy returning with one of his wonderful Buckets. Stay tuned.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but we’ve taken advantage of the sunnier weather we’ve been having in the NW. Coop banding and observation and walks in many different areas for hours and hours at a time. I’ve recently seen Pileated Woodpecker, Great Horned Owl, Brown Creeper, Brant, Trumpeter Swan and many other birds and animals active as daylight hours increase and temperatures start to warm.
