What's an indictment and what happens next with trump? Some us may not have precise answers — I did not — so I searched and found this graphic at www.washingtonpost.com/… which very succinctly and precisely summarizes the process.
The article has more descriptive text around this diagram. I am sure we have more questions; hopefully community members here can help answer them.

That’s a lots of counts, although it is unconfirmed.

Apparently, trump will voluntarily surrender next week according to his lawyers -

Not clear whether an extradition will be necessary. But DeSantis is trying to steal some limelight here.

It’s still a long way from sentencing and jail time. But it is one important and historical step in getting justice served, of reminding the nation that no one is above the law, not even a former president.
trump and the right-wing noise machine will be out in force with their lies, insinuations and deceptions; let’s make sure we neutralize it with the truth and build public support for the Democratic party and for Democracy, let’s ensure that the whole stinking republican party goes down with him.
