The Soros/Bragg Relationship: A Little Perspective [1]

Now that TFG has been indicted by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, we are going to be inundated by hysterical ranting depicting Bragg as a puppet of Jewish (gasp!) Holocaust survivor and billionaire George Soros. What started a a not-so-subtle anti-Semitic dog whistle will be elevated to a full 5-star alarm. With that in mind, I decided to take a closer look at the Soros/Bragg relationship:

George Soros donated $1 Million to the PAC, Color of Change. Color of Change has an annual revenue of $20 Million. Thus, Soros accounted for about 5% of Color of Change’s budget. Those funds are completely fungible. That is to say that the donor has no control over the ultimate disbursement of those funds,

Color of Change donated $500,000 to Bragg’s campaign. The campaign budget totaled about $5 Million which means The Color of Change contribution represented about 10% of his entire campaign funding. (Actually, the money was not really donated to Bragg’s campaign, but to other operations such as Get Out the Vote, etc).

But, even assuming that Color of Change did contribute 10% of Bragg’s campaign and that Soros’ share of that 10% was about 5%, that means that Soros; donation to the Bragg campaign amounted to 0.5% of the total Bragg campaign funds.

To repeat, Soros’ contribution to the Bragg campaign was 5% of 10%, or 0.5% of the entire campaign funding. Plus, as far as anyone can determine, Soros has never even met Bragg,

And somehow that makes Bragg a Soros puppet.
