Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg is no longer being represented by trump's attorneys. Some news outlets are reporting is as Weisselberg firing the trump-paid attorneys.
What do you think is going on? Is Weisselberg about to flip? He is already serving a 5-month sentence at Riker’s Island since Jan 10. Is he being pressured with additional charges? How will this development affect the cases against trump in NY?

Confirmation from MSNBC —
x NEWS: Our colleagues at @NBCNewYork have confirmed tonight former Trump Org CFO Allen Weisselberg's attorneys, who were being paid for by the Trump Org, are no longer representing him. @KFAlegal shares some analysis of what that might mean. pic.twitter.com/wb2Vtvd2pR — Alex Wagner Tonight (@WagnerTonight) March 30, 2023
The Palmer Report has this to say about the development (more in the thread) -
x Weisselberg is currently sitting behind bars. It's a short prison sentence but he is an elderly man. And it's possible the DA threatened to bring broader charges against him, with additional prison time, to motivate him to flip. — Palmer Report (@PalmerReport) March 30, 2023
Commentary by Tim Hogan -
x 2. Ms. Agnifilo also explained how the scheduling works and why a hiatus is not a surprise. Also there are two days left to have the grand jury indict and even if they vote to indict it doesn't have to be filed right away.
When a witness like Weisselberg ditches his lawyers — Tim Hogan 浩勤 (@TimInHonolulu) March 30, 2023
x 4. the privilege could be violated and it could constitute prosecutorial abuse. Also the attorneys who were hired know they are not likely to be paid if their client is working against their benefactor. — Tim Hogan 浩勤 (@TimInHonolulu) March 30, 2023
From www.rawstory.com/… -
Weisselberg is not the first one to do something like this. Michael Cohen did it just before he flipped on Trump. Cassidy Hutchinson had a Trump-funded lawyer before she fired him and got another lawyer so she could tell the Jan. 6 investigatory committee the truth about what she learned working for former chief of staff Mark Meadows. Each time a Trump-funded lawyer was fired, it has been an indication that those previous allies were about to turn.
It’s been all quiet on the right-wing front, so far.
This could mean a delay in indictment, but it could also lead to a stronger case and more charges. And more sleepless nights in Mar-a-Lardo.
