Spring is here and everyone is ready to get out and enjoy in sunny days ahead. The first thing we check in the garden are tree' branches forming buds which are sealed. packed and soon to flourish. There are many things to look for in the garden or field/crops. Soil is the most important part in agriculture, for it brings bountiful harvest and nutritious fruits and vegetables. There are many chemical elements on which human and all species life depends are primarily come from organic compounds such as protein. carbohydrates and vitamins and all of these elements come from the soil by way of plants and animals.
Climate change has caused a seismic shift in our environment. The sun has more gravitational strength than Earth. There are many places across the world where flood and drought are preventing progress in our daily lives. Meteorologists and Farmers have to work hand in hand to overcome harsh conditions. Soil environment affects plant life through its temperature.
There are teams that help complete all this work. Team that contributes to this process are sun, precipitation and pollinators: Sun brings chemical elements to transform carbon to food known as the process of photosynthesis.
Pollinators transfer pollen from male and female plant species thus improve taste of fruits and vegetables. Pollinators are bees leading the way, insects, birds and other nomad species. Tomatoes is the main fruit that absolutely requires pollinator in order to come to fruition. Tomatoes are used in many dishes (spaghetti sauce, tomato ketchup, ragu, salsa)
What to look for in soil?
Soil is different all around the world, the texture, quality, pH balance, temperature and elements. Most plants and other species are adaptive in the same latitude which also has the same or slight differences in temperature, example grape grows in France and so in California.
There are 4 regions in the world, and they are responsible for climatic control on the planet.
Temperate, Tropical, Desert, Tundra
Temperate and tropical are the most fertile region, and temperature is different depend in latitude. upper latitude and lower latitude there is a slight difference of temperature in many places.
Desert soil is fertile, but a little dry in every season that is why there are Cactus and shrubs which keep this region livable. Drought resistant plants provide a defense against arid environment. Desert land in Africa, North America, and Australia are on different latitude. Temperature, chemical elements and texture are different.
Tundra is very cold and acidic; this region has low tolerance of greenhouse gases. The plants that keep this region fertile are coniferous and meadows in order to keep the soil from drying out during hot weather. This region is protected by mountains and coniferous plants.
Plants need large amounts of chemical element from soil in order to survive and sustain during harsh weather. These chemical elements are crucial in every region, these include carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, sodium, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, Sulphur, magnesium, and iron. Soil contains microorganisms {bacteria, fungi, and protozoa} that helps in various mechanisms such as decomposition. Simultaneously transforms and breaks down organic waste known as Humus which returns back to chemical elements thus keep the soil fertile. In Agriculture there is measurement in order to fulfill a diverse community. In the metric system, one acre of land requires 1,000 Lb one thousand pound of microorganisms {bacteria, fungi, protozoa}.
Our natural environment varies widely over the earth, climate is the master element in the large-scale pattern of plant communities. Earth vegetation reflects climatic conditions more than any other factor. The most important climatic elements require in plants are sunlight, temperature, and precipitation.
