WYFP - The Big Event [1]

Today was “The Big Event” at my college and we listened to boring speeches, had a donut and got sent to a middle school to clean the outside of the building. We only spent about 2 hours there, but we got a lot done, and then the team went to brunch and I went home. I got a bit of heat exhaustion and it was Shabbat, so I didn’t want to just act like the day was normal. Helping heal the world, one dirty shutter at a time is pretty kosher, kicking back at a restaurant not so much.

But it was nice spending the day with other people for a bit (not too much peopling, just enough) and getting to know some of the other lab members. I am the same age as most of their parents, but what can you do really.
