New here, could use a little help...? [1]

I’ll be honest, this isn’t the kind of forums that I usually visit, but I’ve got a serious problem and I don’t know what to do about it. My mother obsesses over the forum posts in here daily, but refuses to participate (or even register!) because she doesn’t think she’s smart enough. For the record, she is a very smart lady, but circumstances prevented her from going to a university and getting a degree. Are there other people here like that — smart people devoted to the Democratic party that aren’t lawyers, scientists, or something? It seems to me you guys welcome all kinds, but I’m trying to get her to believe it...and it hasn’t gone well so far.
