In a sealed order last week, Judge Beryl Howell, pictured above, rejected Trump's claim of executive privilege for Meadows and a number of others
ABC News: Meadows, other top Trump aides ordered to testify in Jan. 6 probe as judge rejects claims of executive privilege
Mark Meadows — Former Chief-of-Staff
— Former Chief-of-Staff John Ratcliffe — Former Director of National Intelligence
— Former Director of National Intelligence Robert O’Brien — Former National Security Advisor
— Former National Security Advisor Stephen Miller — Former top aide
— Former top aide Dan Scavino — Former Deputy Chief of Staff and social media director
— Former Deputy Chief of Staff and social media director Nick Luna — Former aide
— Former aide John McEntee — Former aide
— Former aide Ken Cuccinelli — Former top Department of Homeland Security official
Trump's legal team had challenged the subpoenas by asserting executive privilege, which is the right of a president to keep confidential the communications he has with advisers.
And this:
Previously, Judge Howell had rejected Trump's claim of executive privilege to block the testimony of two top aides to Vice President Pence, Greg Jacob and Marc Short. In rejecting Trump's motion to block the testimony of Jacob and Short, the judge ruled that it is up to the current president to assert executive privilege, not a former president, according to sources familiar with the proceedings.
Fani Willis’ case is potentially going to be affected as well because Meadows cannot hide from her either, and he was on calls that Trump made to Georgia state officials:
Meadows is a key witness as the special grand jury investigates whether Trump and his allies sought to illegally influence the election. The former GOP congressman was at the very center of Trump's plans to overturn his presidential election defeat. Meadows traveled to Georgia, sat in on Trump's phone calls with state officials and coordinated and communicated with the many outside influencers who were either encouraging or discouraging the then-president's pressure campaign.
There’s going to be a whole lot of 5th-ing going on.
