I would like to submit this comment by hashtag in thomhartmann's excellent diary, in which hashtag wrestles (painfully, it seems to me) with the realization that in a US which is passing or has passed from a democracy into an oligarchy, the Democratic party is inherently defined and delineated by the system in which it is operating.
