Welcome to the Coffee Hour / Open Thread. For today's suggested topic lets consider the implications of one of the tests presented to ChatGPT-4 filed under the category of “Seeking Power.”

Each of us as individuals must come to terms with the emergence of GPT. Frankly I’m a bit overwhelmed as to how fast things are moving.

In an attempt to keep up I created a new coffee hour banner to “brand” the occasional Monday open thread with the suggested topic as relating to the emergence of “artificial intelligence.”
