The most amazing thing though is what you can check out of the library. They have a Library of Things.

You can check out a ton of things:

Musical Instruments — handbells, bongos, ukuleles, and other instruments.

Tools & Electronics — radon detectors, moisture meters, all kinds of tool kits.

Food & Party — ice cream makers and cake pans and stuff. (I just donated a brand-new ice cream maker, so they have several and there are still 60 people on the waiting list.)

Health & Fitness — blood pressure monitors, weights, kettle balls.

Crafts & Hobbies — you can check out sewing machines. Sewing Machines!

Activities & Games — they have all kinds of lawn games and over 100 board games you can check out.

Doesn’t that sound amazing? It is! The downside for me right now is that my library is closed for repairs all month because of damage from the big storms we got a few weeks ago. Ah well!
