In Green Bay, an anti-abortion, anti-worker MAGA Republican named Chad is trying to unseat Dem mayor [1]

The GOP has targeted Eric Genrich because he oversaw a free and fair election in 2020—and Trump’s Big Lie depends on fabricated conspiracy theories that claim otherwise. The GOP’s “special counsel” Mike Gableman even filed a sham lawsuit against Genrich.
Mike Gableman, the GOP conspiracy theorist who pursued a ludicrous sham investigation to unearth nonexistent evidence for the Big Lie, repeatedly threatened to jail Genrich and other Democratic mayors. But Genrich is a fighter—and punched back.
The mayor of Green Bay appoints the municipal clerk who oversees election administration. So for Trumpists, grabbing that office would be a key element of their plot for 2024. Which, in turn, makes it critical that we reelect Mayor Genrich.
Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich has repaired 22 miles of city streets and 11 bridges. He’s invested in parks, small businesses, and public safety. In this purple city, he’s governed in a way that reflects the community’s values.

But what about MAGA Chad? He’s a former Republican Assemblyman in one of the most ultra-partisan GOP legislatures in American history. Chad voted to restrict the freedom to access safe and legal abortion, and fought to protect obscenely gerrymandered maps.
Chad Weininger attacked Wisconsin’s working families by voting for Scott Walker’s notorious Act 10, legislation that eliminated many workers’ rights to collectively bargain in Wisconsin. Meanwhile, he voted for tax cuts benefiting the ultra-wealthy.
The contrast between Chad and Eric couldn’t be more stark—commonsense, uniting leadership versus far-right MAGA extremism, with democracy in the balance.
Let’s reelect Mayor Genrich. Chip in here!
