Friends, our apologies for all the site instability. There seems to be a widespread issue at AWS that has affected us, and has caused some lingering problems.

Commenting seems to be okay, but there are some issues around story editing of a particular batch of stories. To keep us all safe, we’ve disabled story editing and story updates for the evening so our tech team can get some much needed rest.

While we’re in this state, be especially careful to save your work offline if you’ve constructed anything long or thoughtful. This includes comments, because instability could potentially eat them.

Meantime, feel free to use this as an open thread, and we’ll see you tomorrow with a fresh update.
