Welcome to the Street Prophets Coffee Hour.
It's been a busy winter here. Flagstaff got the most snow they've had in over thirty years. The Superstition Mountains near Phoenix got dusted, even the hills around Tuscon. Here in the Verde Valley it snowed a few times as well, anywhere from one to six inches I've heard. And all that winter moisture means we're probably set for a real superbloom of wildflowers come spring. If you've never experienced an Arizona superbloom, you're in for a treat. It's a really nice time to visit this state.
When the wildflowers burst forth I'll be sure to get lots of pictures. Until that happens, I'm sharing pictures of what was probably our last snow for the season.
My ducks were not amused.
Fortunately for me my winter slippers are fleece lined boots.
Looking south towards Camp Verde.
Our mesquite and chaparral looked pretty that day.
A sculpture my dad made back in the seventies, coated in white.
Antique bottles on one of my bottle trees.
There were little icicles everywhere.
Me, smiling because it was enough snow to enjoy without it causing problems. In Cornville, anyway.
It was a good day to walk around and enjoy the beauty, then go inside and curl up with a good book and a cup of something warm.
Thank you for reading, it's appreciated. This is an open thread, all topics are welcome.
