On Christmas in 2020 there was a bomb downtown that did a lot of damage that is still being repaired. It was a bunch of beautiful historical buildings that were damaged. Many streets are still closed off and the reconstruction has to be driven around.
I sat at a light while it went from green to red, green to red, green to red and finally green again and it was time for me to get through the light. I was quite entertained watching tourists while I waited.
I doubt we have the worst looking tourists, but I sure don’t leave my house dressed like that. Women in shorts with their butts hanging out, good looking butts, but I don’t want to see them. Men in sports shorts, men who have not engaged in a sport in their entire life.
I guess I’m just old. I did enjoy the drive through downtown until I cut through a few streets and came up on what should have been 3rd but was now Ronald Reagan Parkway. WTF? When did they change that? Why did they change that?
In sad Nashville news, a great bass player died early this month, Michael Rhodes.
He played bass for, well, everybody, but he played in a friend of mine, Ashley Cleveland's band.
