Enjoy!
Probably a little more than 30 years ago while living in San Antonio I ran across a pair of guitar players called Strunz and Farah. Now initially, in my ignorance, I thought maybe they were a local duo. Nope. As I was to find out they were an internationally well known duo. Maybe not broadly, but certainly widely well known. One is from Porto Rico and the other from Iran.
Jorge Strunz was born in Porto Rico while Ardeshir Farah was born in Iran. They met in 1979, but their first album didn’t come out until 1982. I find their music to be timeless. I often listen to them while driving, a cautionary note here, be careful of your speed on some of their tunes. Below you’ll understand my caution.
Watch out for this one while driving.
There are several others you might try if you like these guys. Armik. Gypsy Kings. Jesse Cook. I’ll add others to the list as I recall them.
Such as:
For a different take on something familiar via the Gypsy Kings.
