Hi beer fans, happy Friday!
I’ll start with a shout out to a tasty beer I had this week. I’ve mentioned the “Vice” series from Wild Barrel (San Marcos CA) before, they must have tried 20 different fruit flavors and I might like all of them. Their Berliner Weisse base beer is perfect for loading up with fruit and more fruit. “Pastry stout” has become a thing; this Montmorency Cherry is a pastry sour, cherry pie in a glass. Look for it at Total Wine.

The “Vice” is a fruit beer with nice tartness, this other one is a sour beer with some fruit. Right now I’m consuming “Red Pom Sunday” sour from a new brewer near me, Kelly Brewing in Morgan Hill CA. Maybe I’ll like some of their other beers better. I think it’s Hazy Little Thing for me after this.
What are you drinking? Anyone brewing?
