WOMEN'S DAY NEWS! Tennessee sued over its new anti-Drag Performance Law [1]

To help celebrate International Women’s Day, feminist intersexed playwright Hannah Miyamoto filed suit in the federal courts in California yesterday to try to stop the Tennessee law enacted last week against drag performances. Please "RECOMMEND” and comment this Diary if you agree this is some of most encouraging and meaningful Women’s Day news you received.
For Tennessee to be sued within a week of passing its law, not from its own citizens, but by a playwright living on the other side of the country, cannot but help to persuade other states to NOT pass similarly defective laws against free speech and expression.
More updates to come soon, when I have more time, but the Complaint she filed is largely what I announced over the last several weeks, leveling the same three basic attacks on the unconstitutional Tennessee law. For more information, please consult the two articles linked below.
Note: Part of suing someone in federal court is sending them a stamped self-addressed envelope. Hannah used this opportunity to remind the Governor of Tennessee that Harvey Milk is watching over him (whether he likes it or not).
