My issues with Reparations, resolved [1]

Yes we owe reparations.

I have to admit I have long held doubts about reparations. They are rooted in the experiences of so many lottery winners who, lacking needed education and skills, loose everything and often wind up worse off. See www.lovemoney.com/…

If the article is correct cash reparations would do more harm than good. So why do that? Add to this the reality that so many of those that truly need reparations are suffering from the past harms that make them deserving and we would expect even worse outcomes.



What then, can we do?

Pay the victims to attend and complete education while providing the services needed for maximum long term success.



I don’t have the time right now to fully go into to this idea but I am hoping this could be a seed the Kos community can discuss and make possible.
