Olivia Pollock, a Lakeland resident scheduled to face trial Monday on charges related to the U.S. Capitol attack, has followed her brother in becoming a fugitive from federal authorities. The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued bench warrants Tuesday for both Pollock and Joseph Hutchinson III, a friend and former Lakeland resident also charged with felonies connected to the insurrection of Jan. 6, 2021. The District Court’s pretrial services division received notification on Monday that Pollock and Hutchinson had either tampered with or removed the ankle GPS monitors they were required to wear as part of their release on bond, said Joe Boland, supervisory special agent for the FBI’s Lakeland office. Agents had not found either Hutchinson or Pollock as of Friday afternoon, Boland said. (snip) Hutchinson now lives in Georgia, and his case was separated from those of Pollock and two co-defendants, Joshua Doolin of Polk City and Michael Perkins of Plant City, after he asked to represent himself at his trial.

“This is the first time with the January 6th defendants where we’ve seen a defendant, or in this case a pair of defendants, scheduled to appear very, very soon to trial who seemingly cannot be located,” said Jon Lewis, a research fellow from the Program on Extremism at George Washington University. Lewis is tracking the nearly 1,000 cases from the ongoing FBI and U.S. Department of Justice investigation into the Capitol Riot. “This case of course is complicated by the fact one of the defendants remains a fugitive even before we had this most recent incident,” Lewis said. Olivia’s younger brother Jonathan Pollock was nowhere to be found when FBI agents searched his family’s Lakeland property in June 2021.

Polk County resident, Joshua Doolin and two of his co-conspirators, Olivia Pollock and Michael Perkins will soon have their day in court. All three are accused of rioting and storming the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. However, the trio just decided to skip a jury trial and try their luck with a bench trial. (snip) "You cannot have a worse fact case for a criminal defendant on trial in Washington, DC than a January 6th riot case. Those jurors live in DC, lived through January 6th, it happened at their doorstep," explained Rickman. Rickman says another factor that could work in the trio’s favor is that DC Federal judge Carl Nichols was appointed by then President Donald Trump. Recently, Rickman said Judge Nichols has shown leniency in other Capitol riot cases and that could fair well for the Polk County defendants. "These defendant's think 'Hey I'm more likely to be found not guilty by a Trump appointed judge than a left leaning jury here in DC,'" said Rickman.
These assholes beat up cops and some judge gave ‘em indulgent release conditions like this...

Hutchinson, formerly of Lakeland, now lives in Albany, Georgia. He is charged with assaulting, resisting or impeding law-enforcement officers, violent entry and disorderly conduct on the U.S. Capitol grounds and other crimes. He is being prosecuted jointly with four associates, three of them Polk County residents. Hutchinson’s pretrial release order placed him under a “high intensity supervision program” in the Middle District of Georgia. The order restricts him to home detention and allows travel only for employment, religious services and certain other activities.

The FBI is convinced Jonathan Pollock is receiving help evading justice...

As of now, the FBI does not believe Pollock is out of the country. "We believe someone in his family or his distant circle of associates is providing him with assistance," said Special Agent Timothy Taylor with the FBI Tampa. "He was 21 when he disappeared, he's 22 or 23 now. It's unlikely that he could totally fall off the radar for this period of time so we think someone is providing him with assistance. Taylor said the Bureau will never stop looking for him and by hiding, Pollock is making it worse on himself. "We want the public to be aware that it is a federal crime to provide aide and assistance to a wanted felon and he’s only making things worse for himself and for his family and associates by staying gone," said Taylor.
Here’s a brief synopsis of what this click of seditious criminals got up to on January 6th...
Department of Justice
According to court documents, Jonathan and Olivia Pollock, Hutchinson, Doolin and Perkins were on the west side of the Capitol on Jan. 6. At approximately 1:56 p.m., Jonathan Pollock and his younger brother, charged toward a line of police officers while brandishing flagpoles. As depicted in body-worn camera (BWC) footage and publicly available video, Jonathan Pollock screamed “Let’s go!” while trying to push through a metal barricade. Co-defendant Hutchinson grabbed the fence and pulled it back to provide rioters with unobstructed access to the line of police officers. Jonathan Pollock then assaulted three police officers, pulling one down a set of steps, kneeing and punching another in the face, and punching and pushing a third by the neck. Shortly after 2 p.m., the metal barriers were overrun by rioters and the crowd was now held back by a line of police officers with riot shields. As alleged, Hutchinson charged the line of police officers and began throwing punches. Meanwhile, Jonathan Pollock seized a riot shield from an officer and engaged in a tug-of-war-style conflict before pulling the officer down the steps, breaking the officer’s grasp and taking the shield. Jonathan Pollock then held the riot shield in front of him, charged up the steps and slammed into the police line. Perkins then picked up a flagpole and thrust it into the chest of a police officer. Perkins then raised the flagpole over his head and appeared to strike an officer in the back of his head. At approximately 2:11 p.m., Jonathan Pollock grappled with another officer and swung his arm to strike the officer while another rioter simultaneously swung at the officer with a flagpole. Hutchinson kicked the line of police officers, and Jonathan Pollock seized a riot shield which he thrust into an officer’s throat and face before thrusting the shield towards another officer. At approximately 2:12 p.m., as police officers began moving down the steps of the Capitol, Hutchinson, followed by Olivia Pollock carrying a flagpole with an American flag, stepped forward and punched an officer who stumbled. Hutchinson then grabbed the jacket sleeve of another officer before throwing them out of his way. Olivia Pollock then attempted to strip an officer of his baton. After being knocked back, Olivia Pollock raised her hands in a fighting posture, elbowed the officer in the chest and again tried to strip the baton from the officer. By 2:55 p.m., Jonathan and Olivia Pollock, Doolin, and Perkins were standing on the ledge of the upper west terrace. Doolin had zip-tie handcuffs tucked in his belt and a riot-control chemical canister slung over his shoulder. Jonathan Pollock yelled, “Let’s go,” then climbed to the front of the bleachers, grabbed an officer by the shoulders and attempted to pull him over the railings. By about 4:20 p.m., Jonathan Pollock and Doolin were positioned close to the entrance to the passageway that connects the lower west terrace to the interior of the Capitol building. Another rioter passed a riot shield back to Jonathan Pollock, and he positioned himself at the entrance to the tunnel. For several minutes starting at approximately 4:32 p. m., while others were throwing things at officers, Jonathan Pollock slammed and pushed a riot shield into the line of officers, pinning the officers’ shields and preventing them from defending themselves against the attack. Jonathan Pollock remained positioned with the riot shield at the entrance of the tunnel, blocking officers from advancing out of the tunnel, until at least 4:46 p.m.
