Good morning, Newdists. How are you all doing?

Some housekeeping news first — sibling has to travel for work, as does his wife. I have to go be with my mom and hold down the fort. I’ll be gone from March 11th to March 25. Diaries will be in queue.

Saw in the news today that Norovirus and Shigella are now upon us.

gah!!!!!!

Are viruses becoming more prevalent? Or is it that we are beginning to be more aware of them? Both. Of course.

I’m so tired of viruses. I had a terrible time wrapping my head around this new news.

*sigh*

These suckers cannot be vanquished by soap and water and require bleached solution. I’m writing of kitchen counters.

So, now I’m washing everything in the dishwasher. There I was, wearing gloves, and conserving water by washing things out of one sink in hot soapy water, and drying in the other sink. No more.

Okay, en avant:

Your Cafe kitteh!

Critters galore!

x Babies on board! Some great horned owl nests are starting to feel a little more crowded. Great horned owls typically lay 1-4 eggs and incubate them for about 30 days. Young remain in the nest for about 42 days before fledging.
