Whatever happens in the outer blog STAYS in the outer blog. If you’re having “issues” with another Kossack, keep it “out there.” This is a place to relax and play; please treat it accordingly.

There are some pics we never post: snakes, creepy crawlies, any and all photos that depict or encourage human cruelty toward animals. These are considered “out of bounds” and will not be tolerated. If we alert you to it, please remember that we do have phobic peeps who react strongly to them. If you keep posting banned pics...well then...the Tigress will have to take matters in hand. Or, paw.

Hey, Peeps! This is just a temporary situation; Foresterbob is busy today, and our Martigre has a date with some music, so I’m playing understudy for this Friday!

Angus says if you do it just right, you can hydroplane!

I walked carefully behind the dogs on our way to the gate. Zee and ‘Risa joyfully ran in circles, challenging each other, urging me to “hurry!”

”I’m doing the best I can,” I objected. “I don’t doubt that if I had four legs, I, too, would delight in the sheer exhilaration it affords!” I stopped and spent a moment actually imagining running on four legs. It seemed to me that it could be a fine thing, indeed.

Certainly I had seen other animals just running for the joy of it, the power of it, the feeling of taking all that wondrous energy from the Earth itself and turning it into the poetry of motion!

Some of these surprised me!!

We wonder why our cats always seem to get the zoomies at night, but it’s entirely natural to them to spend energy pursuing prey when it’s dark and they likely have the advantage. Plus, we allowed them to sleep all day instead of helping them mimic those behaviors (and use up that energy) when we had the chance! (cue face palm) Also plus too, cats think it’s hilarious to mess with us when we’re mostly asleep. There isn’t much to be done about that.

I’m funny. Trust me.

Cheetahs cannot retract their claws, but do NOT tell them they have “dog feet”!

But I know my dogs run for the pure heckin fun of it!

And I have surely seen the equines run for the thrill of running.

Watching babies discovering that they CAN run is one of life’s Really Good Things!

I won’t argue that most animal play seems to be a way of sharpening vital life skills, but it’s seldom possible to watch them at it without understanding that they often indulge just for fun!

Peeps, the vet’s clinic asked me to come in at 12:30 to get Zee’s new meds. They are typically impossibly busy, but I’ll get back ASAP. Everyone play nicely, or I’ll tattle!!
