Maybe It's Time for Biden and Garland to Act [1]

Polecat’s diary and comments to it today made me think about the FBI and how changes in it are desperately needed. I haven’t seen a diary on the topics below yet, so thought I would give some advice to President Biden and AG Garland in a short piece.

First off, are the FBI and Department of Energy playing politics with their conclusions about the origin of Covid? Why are they releasing or leaking info about their conclusions, which not incidentally contradict a number of other sources including intelligence agencies and several scientific studies, and do so without a shred of supporting evidence? Is this normal? At least with scientific studies, researchers make an effort to make public the data behind their conclusions. Speculation as to Covid origin without supporting evidence is just that – speculation. And should not be something any administration should tolerate on such an important issue. So if there is evidence, (not classified, though why it would be is in doubt) none of which I am aware of, why not release at least some it to the public? If they want their conclusions out, they should at least be confident enough to reveal evidence of them

The second issue specifically concerns FBI director Wray. I saw on Fox (WTF?!) this morning that he stated the FBI is currently investigating Hunter Biden. Well, if that’s true, why is he discussing an ongoing criminal investigation? Isn’t that against DOJ policy? Shouldn’t any question about a current investigation be “No comment, we don’t disclose ANY information about ongoing investigations”? And why does he still have his job? Is he talking about how they are currently investigating DT Junior or Ivanka? And if they are not investigating all of the Trumps, it would be interesting to know why they aren’t.

So I ask this of the AG and President, given his blatant violation of DOJ policy, shouldn’t you consider firing Director Wray? It’s way past time to clean house in the FBI. So why not start here? And how about having the DOE investigate who is leaking reports on Covid without supporting data. Just asking for America.
