I could post this shot a thousand times. No, seriously... we end up like this almost every evening around diary post time :) <3

Late afternoon yesterday, I got a text from K1: One of my schools is closed tomorrow, waiting on the other since that’s the one I’m at on Tuesdays. (K1 splits time between two K-8 schools). An hour later, the happy YAY they’re closed too! at nearly the same moment K2’s school robocalled all of our phones at once. Mr. Brillig took one look at the prospective morning commute and decided to work from home. And so today turned into a snow day for all of us! K1 was nestled in at her place, but the boys and I were at Casa Brillig along with one very wet dog — it was a rain/snow mix most of the day and he wanted to go out 1030504 times to bark at the world.

Because it was a snow day and NO ONE had to be awake at 6am, our usual weekday start time given K2’s 7:10am bus to school, of course that meant I was awake at 5:30. You saw that coming, right? Which means I’m exhausted, and still feeling all the feels over yesterday’s layoffs.

My happy fun diary about what three-fourths of Casa Brillig did last weekend will have to wait until next week. For tonight, please consider this a free space to discuss what weird weather you’ve got going on in your neck of the woods, what you’ve been having for dinner, and any other subjects you may have on your mind.
