New Day Cafe: Tuesday, Last Day of February, Open Thread [1]

Good morning, Newdists!
Grab a cuppa and a nosh, and join as for some chat and such.
All are welcome to join the fun, the silliness, the conversations. If you don’t know...just ask! Some things really do require a bit of explanation. There will be a few surprises along the way, all good ones, we hope. We are here to keep building the Daily Kos Community. We post Mon-Sun at 10:30 a.m. Eastern. Pie fights will be met with outrageous ridicule and insults. Trolls will be incinerated and served at the next group BBQ. As briquettes.
As most of you know...I’m a goof for classic movies. Tonight, on TCM, they’re showing Ball Of Fire, my most favourite Barbara Stanwyck movie. You can read about it HERE .
If you have the chance to watch it, it’s on at 11:30 PM Eastern.
Believe me when I tell you that I will be up and watching. Last week, I was thrilled that they ran The Lady Eve, which is my second favourite Stanwyck movie. After all my blathering about it, and all my excitement, I lasted less than an hour!! They never made if off the boat (which was the set up for all that followed) and I was OUT like a light!!
Last night, they ran The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance , which I haven't’ seen in years. It is my favourite John Ford movie, because he’s not my favourite director. The Searchers is good, but I’ve seen it quite a few times. Again, I was so excited that it was on. Not a half hour into it, I was OUT like a light!
This time, come hell or high water, I will be away. I’m planning to drink coffee just to make sure!!
