As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

Greetings friends! Welcome to another Saturday, Congratulations, we made it through another week, and I have another bit of Star Trek trivia and unexpected fan fun for you!

I am sure it was not the first, but when I first saw The Walking Dead, over a decade ago, I noticed the now distinctive “Georgia” logo at the end of the credits, showing that the show had been filmed and produced in my home state of childhood. As the years passed, that logo became more and more common, appearing in the credits of more and more films and television. Even Marvel, and Disney, giants in the film industry now produce their films in Georgia. But recently, I have discovered that something else, something close to my heart and soul, has moved to Georgia.

In Kingsland Georgia, there exists a film studio, and a recreation of the original USS Enterprise, a film set composed of twelve rooms, recreated from the original Desi Lou blueprints. Built and staffed by volunteers, this studio is home “Star Trek Continues”, as well as “Tales from the Neutral Zone.” Owned by Ray Tesi, the Neutral Zone studios offer opportunities for anyone interested in film, whether they want to act in front of the camera, or prefer to work behind the scenes. and with their frequent “Fan Weekends.” The Neutral Zone Studios, and Ray Tesi, allow anyone to dream big, and reach for the stars.
