I wrote a song. Yeah, it surprised me, too. I’m retired so it’s futile to write to me: “Don’t give up your day job!”OK? It uses another song, but of course the reason was, “everyone should know how to sing this immediately.” so I apologize to the song writers. Imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, and etc.
In the future I think any patriotic song that names places, like “the Halls of Montezuma and the Shores of Tripoli” or “From California to the New York Harbor”, could also have “Goin’ to Kyiv to lay down those wreaths” in it also. Just sayin’. The President goes into a battle zone to support the people fighting for their freedom there, and some people here can’t find enough self-respect, never mind respect for the fallen heroes, to just shut up about it? Shame on them. Everlasting shame on them.
And Oh, My! Some other folks on the other side of the aisle are so jealous of Joe’s Air Raid Stroll, that they sent their own delegation to Kyiv to promise their own military support. It’s getting crowded at the palace. Somewhere in the back of the large crowd, Putin sticks up his hand and yells, “Hey, Yo! Invading Force here! Hey! Hey? Uh…?”
