Help! Too much shriving!

Stop it! I mean, sure it’s Shrove Tuesday. And sure, I even went out and bought pączki last night. But only after looking up how to pronounce pączki. And then looking up pączki online, so that I could get the “a” with the little squiggly thing underneath it. You can get that from the standard keyboard on a “c” or an “s,” but not on an “a.”

Also, the squiggly thingy is called an ogonek. Which I also looked up.

Hey, so Joan McCarter will be here, because it’s Tûęśdåÿ.

The odds of us having yet another newly-elected Republican fabulist to discuss would ordinarily be virtually zero by now. But, you know, it’s been, like, 36 hours. So maybe we’re due.
