One of the 23 victims of this senseless massacre
Patrick Crusius, 24 years old, faces federal sentencing in June 2023. After pulling into a parking lot on 3 Aug 2019, the defendant exited his vehicle with an AK-47 type assault rifle and opened fire on Mexican or Hispanic-looking people. Mr Crusius then entered the Walmart and continued shooting, killing a total of 23 people before surrendering to law-enforcement.
Mr Crusius told investigators he was motivated to commit the shooting after reading "The Great Replacement," which is a white nationalist conspiracy theory.
