I am very much a music fan. Music is sacred to me. I have demonstrated this here at Dkos many times. Another thing that I am is a contemplative person. I suspect that our Dkos community is full mostly of contemplative folks. It seems like a characteristic that is part and parcel to the progressive mindset. Even a cursory look around the posts and comments on this site makes it easy to observe this.

As a person who is both contemplative and deeply in love with music, the spot on the Venn diagram where those things overlap is pretty dear to me. I am going to post just a few examples here. If you’re of a mind to join with examples that you find outstanding, I sure hope that you will.

Far from exhaustive, it is my hope that these selections serve as a prompt for you to add to the collection in the comments.
