1. Abrupt
2. Irreversible
3. Exponential
It is the driving force of the current extinction. All Three aspects of it are daily unfolding.
You can choose to forget London 2022 Pakistan 2022 — Snow pack loss in the Alps — the Thwaites Glacier breaking off before our own satellites eyes etc….
Well — Summer 2023 is a coming. It’s gonna be hot. People will die of heat related problems. Fires will spread, towns will combust, new high temps will be reached. We will argue that when it gets bad enough humanity will rise to the crisis.
People who point the reality will be called pessimists. We will not prepare for the hospice we need to go out with dignity, love and compassion.
Because until it’s too late (it’s too late already) we have time
Proof they say. But not that proof it’s not good enough.
The human spirit will live on. A handful of humans will survive, therefore, it ain’t so bad. i feel sorry for ___ they will get the worst of it (and you won”t). If we just ______ we can stop it.
