I often see stories about younger generations complaining about how boomers and other oldsters just don’t get the modern financial world. Last one was a woman trying to explain to her mother why Mom couldn’t get good help for her landscaping business: Mom was offering $12/hour and complaining that “people don’t want to work anymore.”
A more egregious example comes from Sky New today, link: 16 to 25-year-olds fear they will never earn enough to start a family
Almost half of 16 to 25-year-olds fear they will never earn enough to start a family A report by the Prince's Trust has found huge numbers of young people see financial insecurity as one of the biggest challenges facing them in the future.
So, now we have gotten to the point where Reaganomics/Thatcherism (I disdain the term “neoliberal” as it seems to point blame at liberals and not the conservatives who pushed these policies) has been so destructive that humans cannot/will not reproduce themselves. Can you think of a stronger indictment than that? And where is the outrage?
