Protesting the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Jan. 22, 2023 was the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Instead of celebrating this historic milestone, we’re faced with our first year without constitutional protections for abortion.

Roe was a needed product of its time, but we know now that it is the floor, not the ceiling. It does not address the ever-increasing targeted attacks on abortion access for Black, brown, and Indigenous people, LGBTQ+ people, disabled people, low-income people, and people in rural areas.

As we work to codify Roe in federal law as a baseline, we must also demand more. The Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) would not only create new legal federal protections for abortion, but also proactively safeguard against medically unnecessary bans on abortion.

Sign and send the petition to your U.S. senators and House representative: Codify Roe v. Wade into federal law. Reintroduce and bring the WHPA for a vote in the new Congress.
