I know this story was covered last night, both here and on Chris Hayes’s show, but I was watching a video on YouTube and this video from Brian Tyler Cohen, along with Glenn Kirshner showed up in the feed and it’s a good source of “what’s next” in Fulton County (GA) District Attorney Fanni Willis’s case. The video talks about real timelines, facts, and consequences. The thing to remember watching the video is that this is a State, not Federal case. But it also a criminal case, not a civil case. **NY Attorney General Letitia James is taking Trump’s company apart civilly**.
A host of boot lickers (Meadows, Giuliani, Graham) were forced to testify. The list of issues that Willis took a look at is impressive to say the least: www.kcra.com/… Highlighted by these jewels.
— Phone calls by Trump and others to Georgia officials in the wake of the 2020 election. — A group of 16 Georgia Republicans who signed a certificate in December 2020 falsely stating that Trump had won the state and that they were the state's "duly elected and qualified" electors. — False allegations of election fraud made during meetings of state legislators at the Georgia Capitol in December 2020. — The copying of data and software from election equipment in rural Coffee County by a computer forensics team hired by Trump allies. — Alleged attempts to pressure Fulton County elections worker Ruby Freeman into falsely confessing to election fraud. — The abrupt resignation of the U.S. attorney in Atlanta in January 2021.
I’ve seen Kirshner around, and I’m absolutely no lawyer, but this may bring some actual indictments of the coup crowd. Since the DOJ doesn’t appear to be interested in interfering with Willis, I’d say that the good ole boys are gonna let another black woman do the dirty work first. She appears to be the first person who is actually gonna drag these asshats into a court room and try them CRIMINALLY. You know, with a phone call as evidence. Plus, the network of local GA politicians, a Kayne West associate hassling Ruby Freeman, and the fake electoral college fiasco, Willis may cast a wide net. The gang that couldn’t shoot straight left a steaming pile of evidence with flashing neon signs pointing to it, drunken and desperate to hang on to power. Convinced by a ridiculous conman, who in the end, didn’t have the nads to pull it off.
