Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, Joe Manchin went full Manchin on the debt ceiling, classified docs, running for president and high-fiving Sinema in Davos for saving the filibuster.
Then, on the rest of the menu, the military is probing whether blood cancers are linked to nuclear silo work from decades ago; state lawmakers have proposed power grid protections after scores of domestic terror attacks; and, a subpoena has been granted in the Reno mayor’s suit over who secretly installed a tracking device on her vehicle.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where the Justice Department charged two businessmen with trying to conceal a sanctioned Russian oligarch’s luxury yacht seized in Spain last year; and, the trial of a former leader of the Hells Angels in Europe for organized crime charges, is set to start today in Madrid.
