Earth to DK HR….:

A little transparency, please.

This morning I read two AP stories on DK.

Within the last few days, I became aware that DK may be dealing with budgetary problems with threatened layoffs of DK staff.

I’ve increased my monthly donations – as have others.

What we do not know is – how much money do we need to raise to maintain staffing levels?

Moreover, I wonder if the staffing budget is meant to be cyclical – whereas more staff are deemed necessary during an election period and less so afterwards. I hope that is not the case. Preoccupation with the ‘horse race’ without focus on investigative reporting and policy is a weak point in main stream corporate journalism. I hope DK does not aspire to that model.

Time for transparency. What’s Up??!!
