At least seven people dead after another mass shooting in California [1]

There has been another mass shooting in California, the second in two days, this time claiming the lives of at least seven people in San Mateo County, according to the New York Times. NBC Bay Area’s Kira Klapper reports that 67-year-old Zhao Chunli has been taken into custody. According to the report, some of the victims of the shooting were farmworkers of Asian decent, who were killed at two separate locations.
The sheriff’s office said that there was no continuing threat to the community, releasing a statement saying, “Chunli was taken into custody without incident and the weapon was located in his vehicle,” adding, “The motive for the shooting is currently unknown.”
It has been a little over 24 hours since 11 people were killed by a gunman who opened fire at a California club where people were celebrating the Lunar New Year.
