Hard to believe how fast January is zooming by. Here we are, though, already the 22nd and cruising to the end.
Grab a cup of coffee, though, and a nosh, and spend a little time with us for a chin wag.
just keep it comin, hoomin! just keep it comin!
All are welcome to join the fun, the silliness, the conversations. If you don’t know...just ask! Some things really do require a bit of explanation. There will be a few surprises along the way, all good ones, we hope. We are here to keep building the Daily Kos Community. We post Mon-Sun at 10:30 a.m. Eastern. Pie fights will be met with outrageous ridicule and insults. Trolls will be incinerated and served at the next group BBQ. As briquettes.

Today, the Bengals play the Bills on CBS at 3 pm Eastern and Dallas plays the 49ers on FOX at 6:30 pm Eastern.
Life In The Not-So-Fast Lane:
Our upstairs neighbour has a dog. Actually, I believe they have two. One is most definitely a “woof!!” dog, as that’s the noise he makes. The other one is also a “woof” dog, but quieter.
About once a week, BigWoof gets a burr under his fur and decided to make it BarkDay. Not so bad. Usually. Every now and again, though...enough is an oeuf!
Shadow, Lord Of All He Surveys was perched by my feet one afternoon, listening to BigWoof making his noises.
“Why don’t you go up there and teach him a lesson?
Without missing a beat, Shadow replied, “What’s wrong with you teachin’ him?
“Well...well…. I hardly know him!”
Next thing you know, we were so busy riffing on lines from The Wizard Of Oz that we forgot all about BigWoof and his noises.
Stolen Parent Tips:
my daughter just dyed her hair turquoise and apparently has no idea that she's subjected herself to months of me asking if she's still feeling blue

My 8 year old: Mommy, do you know what synovial fluid is? That’s what keeps the joints gliding. If we didn’t have synovial fluid it would hurt to move! Isn’t that amazing?
Also my 8 year old: I am only wearing underwear and one sock and I do not know why
Whenever my kid is about to do something he’s not supposed to he says, ‘don’t look at me,’ and that’s how I know he’s not cut out for a life of crime.
