LIV Golf CEO on Prince Bone Saws' murder of WaPo journalist: 'Everybody learns from their mistakes' [1]

I haven’t paid much attention to the Saudi-bankrolled LIV Golf tour, for much the same reason the Gestapo Intramural Softball League never really took off in the ‘40s. Grisly, enfeebling injuries are supposed to happen on the field of play in front of gawping old ladies and ingenuous, doe-eyed waifs—as God and Joe Theismann intended—not behind the scenes.

Also, Donald Trump is involved in LIV, and I need more egregious folk tales about him like a foie gras duck needs more time with the Denny’s dessert menu.

The problem with a Saudi-backed golf league, of course, is that it’s Saudi-backed. More specifically, it’s funded by Prince Mohammed “Bone Saws” bin Salman, the notorious human rights abuser who’s best known for almost certainly ordering the death and dismemberment of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a frequent critic of the Saudi royal family. And because of that unsavory association, some people think it’s at the very least problematic for anyone to do business with the Saudis’ LIV-Right-Up-Until-the-Point-Some-Rich-Asshole-Saws-You-to-Bits-for-Sassing-Him Golfapalooza.

But none of those people are LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman, who recently appeared on NewsNation’s Dan Abrams Live to pooh-pooh those picayune “human rights” concerns.
