As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

Good morning, friends.. and welcome to another Saturday! Congratulations, we made it through another week. One of the things I have come to say -often- is that “Getting dressed in the morning should not take so many spoons.” by which I mean, that it takes far too much energy to get up and get ready for the day. Often I have found that doing so, leaves me worn out for a good part of the day, or -did-. Something I have discovered since I “came out” and accepted who I am, is that my new wardrobe makes getting dressed for the day, far easier.

Pullover dresses and tops, skirts with elastic waists, denim leggings, and yoga pants, these things make up the lion’s share of my new wardrobe. They help me to look, and feel more put together each day, and more importantly, they are by in large, easier to get on and off, taking far less energy on the days when spoons are at a premium, leaving me with more spoons to spend where and when they are truly needed.

For the most part, I have done away with buttons, zippers, hooks, and other fastenings, not to mention stiff, less forgiving fabrics. These are all the things that often created barriers between myself, and the clothes I wanted to wear, the look and feel I wanted to achieve.

So, my friends… What do -you- wear when you need to make the day easy? What fabrics, cuts and styles do you turn to?
