The Ukraine Invasion Day 329 article by annieli lists the Russian far-right units fighting in the Donbass against Ukrainian “fascists.” Among them is the Russian National Unity Volunteers, whose insignia literally incorporates the Nazi Swastika.
How broken must a country be for a fighting force to adopt the ideology and symbolism of one of the most evil regimes in modern human history? A regime whom their grandparents’ generation fought against tooth and nail. A regime that would likely have liquidated their forebears had they achieved their military aims.
The same thing is increasingly happening now in America. I am at a loss for words.
