Bust of Diana

This bronze was made about 1882 by French artist Jean-Joseph-Alexandre Falguière (1831-1900).

Theseus and the Minotaur

This bronze (variegated green and brown patina) was originally made in 1842 by French artist Antoine-Louis Barye (1796-1875).

Galatea

This terracotta piece, made in 1735-1750, is attributed to French artist Lambert-Sigisbert Adam (1700-1759). According to PAM:

“This design for a fountain features Galatea, the most lovely of the Nereids, or sea nymphs, the minor deities who personified the beauty and benevolence of the ocean in Greek mythology.”

Portrait of Dr. A

This marble piece was created in 1844 by French artist Dominique Maggesi.

Spirit of the Dance

This terracotta piece was created in 1875 by French artist Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux (1827-1875).

Portrait of the Marquis de Lubersac

This terracotta piece was created in 1772 by French artist Augustin Pajou (1730-1808). Pajou was one of the most renowned sculptors in eighteenth-century France.

Martyred Female Saint

This limestone and polychrome piece was made in the fourteenth century by an unknown French artist.

St. Christopher

This marble piece was made between 1480 and 1520 by an unknown Franco-Flemish sculptor. According to PAM:

“This sculpture is actually a deep relief and the unfinished back indicates that it was made to be inserted in a niche. Although the precise location of its creation remains a mystery, the style of drapery indicates that it was probably made in Flanders or northern France.”

The Holy Trinity

This marble piece was made between 1300 and 1350 at Cluniac Abbey by an unknown French sculptor.
