Valentine’s Day crafts that I have known and loved. They all got new homes today except for two, which I will note. I have to make them early to catch the season. Next its on to Easter and spring.

As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

Love Letters

I cut this one, with a saw, from real wood because I saw the idea but couldn’t get the blank at that time. I have one now, for future uses.

Vintage Hearts/standing sign

I cut the hearts from cardboard and printed the vintage papers. The stand has a blackboard space on the back, still usable.

Tin planter

This is a tin planter that I covered with wood scrap book paper. It is small, but sweet.

Blooming love/planter box

I didn’t get this one painted or stained and I kept it. I cut the hearts out of cardboard that I had taken the top layer off of to expose the ribs. I love the texture of them. The photo is not great.

For the new year...

I saw this phrase written somewhere and thought of this. I kept this one too. It is so me!

Valentine toad

The card said “Have I toad you that you are the best?” It made me laugh but I have a thing for frogs and toads.

Be my love/a fridge magnet

I know I showed this last week but here it is again to round out the diary.

I made a heart shaped box with flowers on top of it years ago for Lil Zen and I refill it with cookies and candy for Valentine’s Day. Then she brings the empty box back for next year. Traditions. Do you have any traditions for Valentine’s Day?
