Negotiate with 'Em [1]

I don’t know why President Biden doesn’t agree to negotiate with the GOP over the debt ceiling with Schumer and the Senate along for the ride. They should just keep saying this for the next six months:

1. The MAGA GOP told us the Trump tax cut for the rich would raise so much revenue, we wouldn’t ever have to raise the debt ceiling. That was five years ago in 2017, how come we have to raise the debt ceiling now?

2. If the MAGA GOP are saying we have to cut spending why didn’t they do that when they cut taxes in 2017? I mean then we’d never have to raise the debt ceiling. I think they don’t want to repeal the tax cut. They didn’t think we needed to cut spending back in 2017. They are just making stuff up. They weren’t right about the Trump tax cuts, how can we believe MAGA now?

2. If we have to raise the debt ceiling, we should just get rid of the Trump tax cuts for the rich, then we will have a balanced budget and won’t have to raise the debt ceiling all the time after that. Let’s spend the next six days (won’t take six months!) negotiating how to repeal the tax cut. Then we won’t default and ruin everyone’s employment, mortgage, and retirement.

4. So to summarize, MAGA GOP for never having to raise the debt ceiling, but did Trump tax cut so we have to raise the debt ceiling. MAGA GOP says cutting spending will save us from raising the debt ceiling, but they didn’t do that when they did the MAGA tax cut, so we think they are just making stuff up now. Let’s get rid of the tax cut, save everyone’s retirement and give the MAGA GOP what they want: balanced budgets. No more debt ceiling increases!
